Bob: What's a laundry room without appliances? A fancy closet? This is a new washer
and a used dryer from an ad in the paper. Later on, we replaced the dryer with a new one
because it couldn't keep up with the washer. I installed all of them and saved a bundle.
Bob: Here's another nice shot of this end of the room, with the door closed. Remind
me to get a doorknob for this thing, I almost couldn't get out!
Bob: And now, a pic of the window end, with nicely repurposed curtains by Nan. Sure looks better than when we started. When we get around to it, we'll have to do some reconstruction on this window, too. The moving storm pane was missing when we got the house, and I had it remade, but years of absence left the sill slightly rotten. Who throws away a storm pane, anyway???
(05/2010) Nan: Just three weeks ago, Bob found the original screen tucked behind the water
heater. He was fishing electrical lines for the attic project and discovered it in there.
Bob: Nan's day bed got repurposed for this room by turning the backboard upside
down! This is the first furniture in this room, and arrived just in time to put up my
sister Patricia for several weeks while she did an acting stint for a theatre troop near
Noblesville (she lives in Evansville). We are always glad to promote the arts, and it
accelerated our schedule slightly. Also, she got to stay in our house before we did!
